How many more America ? More than 20 people have been killed after a gunman opened fire at a church during Sunday services, police say. The attack happened at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, a small town in Wilson County, Texas. The gunman, who is reported to have been killed in the aftermath, entered the church and opened fire at around 11:30 local time (17:30 GMT). Wilson County Commissioner Albert Gamez Jr said the gunman fled the scene in a vehicle before being killed. "You never expect something like this. My heart is broken," Mr Gamez Jr said. Earlier estimates put the death toll as high as 27. Mr Gamez Jr told CNN he was told by an emergency medical technician at least 27 died and 24 others were wounded. The First Baptist Church's pastor, Frank Pomeroy, has told ABC News that his 14-year-old , Annabelle, was killed in the shooting. Mr Pomeroy, who was out of town in Oklahoma at the time, described her as "one very beautiful, special " in a phone call to the television outlet. The gunman died after a brief car chase into nearby Guadalupe County slightly to the north, a Sherriff's Office deputy from that county told CNN. Unfortunately it will likely be many more. It reminds me of the Viet Nam War body count scam. Until the politicians who take money to do nothing this will become the norm. They will find a way to excuse the "need" for fully automatic weapons on the streets because they are paid to. The money is more important than the people who vote for them. It doesn't matter to them that children are killed. It doesn't matter to them that 20 or 50 are killed in one incident. It won't matter when 100 are killed. The politicians will just get paid more. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

It is not the gun laws that is the problem , it is the people that are the problem , you can change the laws all you want but bad people will find a way to kill ...it may be a bomb , a plane , a rental truck , do we change the laws on truck rentals ? It is a sad problem that people feel the need to kill others and I feel for all lives lost , it can be anyone at any time and it don't have to be done with a gun. I don't have a answer for all the live that were lost but I do know that it all has to start with the people that wish to harm others.

They're not idiotic laws. Gun control is idiotic. When you outlaw guns, only the bad guys have them. There was a church shooting where a good guy had a gun and shot the bad guy trying to shoot up the church. Guns are awesome. I own many and am proud that we kicked your country's ass in 1776 so that I can own guns.

Laws only effect people who follow them. Make guns illegal and they'll just smuggle them in from Mexico like they do with drugs. Also we have had right to bear arms since the 1776 and we never had this many mass shootings before. Maybe it has something to do with the creation and distribution of psychotropic drugs like Zoloft and prozac that come with the great side effect of suicidal or homicidal thoughts in some cases.

Interesting how people ignore the facts. The community with the strictest gun control laws have the highest gun crimes and death rates. Hand guns kill more people than so called assault weapons! Medical errors are the 3rd leading cause of death in America! I wonder if that's why the Democrats want to medical care to be free! Oh to answer the question: we will change our gun laws the moment we can trust the government.
