messenger a complete pain in the ass!

least ten years ago i first found this site, and how much fun i had, was great fun, as a standard member i could contact anyone on messenger and read emails people sent me.
fast forward to the present and now they have restricted messenger to just 5 a day... ermm ok that kinda sucks as far as im concerned, but the fact is it doesnt bloody work half the time.
not to mention now you cant read emails either...i know why they made the changes to try and force you to<b> upgrade </font></b>your membership, but i think by restricting everything so much it actually drives away people like myself who would<b> upgrade.
</font></b>what are your thoughts on this?
also if you were a standard member and upgraded did you find your experience on messenger improved?

 I think that gold members have more options to move around and more things to see.

With that being said, whether you are standard or gold. the success in here is base on the individual not the actual status. even with the IM, your experience in here will be totally different than others. cause not everyone has the same approach. I see many gold complaining they get nothing and I see some standards saying they are doing just fine. is the individual itself that makes the difference, if you are pleasant, polite and real. people will respond to you regardless the status.

I say try the gold for a couple of months, and if you don't think that is worth it, then you can always go back to standard.

Either way, Welcome to the blogs. I would like to let you know, that in order for your post to go live in the main blogging board, you need a comment, usually, after creating a post, people go back and comment their own post, some say something like "The magic comment". otherwise, your post will seat in the newly created posts. not many people will see it, unless someone comments on it. please keep that in mind for next time.

ermmm think yo missed my point totally here... i dont have any trouble in having a conversation or those areas. its the fact messenger doesnt work properly most of the time ( as in the technical aspects, messages dont go thru, some text is missing etc etc).
gets annoying after a while thats what i mean. also when i said about upgrading, i was in fact saying that does the actual service improve (like does messenger become more stable and reliable)
i know i am not alone in this as daily i see messages posted on peoples statuses that messenger is down or not working properly.

 Yes unfortunately the IM has changed here along with camming and emails it seems standard members need points to do anything here. It's not fair and some of us have been trying to get the site to go back with the way it used to be here. But alas unfortunately all they think about is the almighty dollar!!!
Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

 lol i think the first person who replied kinda missed my point, i have no problem striking up a conversation or meeting people, its the technical side that pisses me off, ie it not actually working, messages not getting sent properly etc
