which means weekend getaways for some , would love to go to the island but we find heading to the Okanogan easier and cheaper, heading south can be fun as we just returned from Oregon but our dollar doesn't go that far down there..... where do you go to get away for the weekend?

 I love going to the Island. Sooke is beautiful. I also enjoy Nanaimo. It's just an entirely different pace on the Island, than the Lower Mainland. "Island time"

Anyplace warm, not crowded , and peaceful, with good company. And if it happens to be at a $1.25 to the dollar price-point, we're poor enough to appreciate that as well.....
