Worst - a millennial - Call it supply side economics or whatever you want but the fact is Reagan launched what became the longest economic expansion in U.S. History. Not even Bill ( the sexual pervert ) Clinton could knock it down. It was Reagan's Democrat Controlled Congress who lied and reneged on promises to cut budget spending which resulted in ballooning budgets. With a Republican Controlled Congress, Newt managed the only budget surplus (last 100 years) under Clinton. It took Obama and a Democrat Controlled Congress to bring it to a screeching halt. And, he managed to sustain the longest continuous recession in the last 80 years - Previously, a Democrat Controlled Congress managed the Great Depression by ratcheting up income taxation from 25% ( 1928 ) to 94% ( 1945 ). But here's how ignorant you are to the facts. Obama projected that recession during his 2008 campaign with his War on Energy - the fundamental foundation of every modern society - Businesses responded appropriately. And he submersed the entire world in it. Obama also spent more than every president before him -- "Collectively". Obviously you have no clue that income was not taxable until 1913 ( a voluntary top rate of 7% ). It took Democrats only 5 years to push it back up to 77%. Republicans brought it down to 25% over the next ten years. But it was the Social Security Program ( 1930s ) that was the real impetus that solidified the Democrats addiction to our money through taxation.. The Democrats' SSI program gave Congress the "Legal Right" to tax our personal income (an Entitlement trick on our grandparents that Obama turned into a Benefit ). Our personal income was previously protected by the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Now go stick your head up your ass and try to fart out these facts in a way that enlightens your stupidity.

Jerry Brown has seen the light.....but, it's too late. Soon, he'll be leaving the Governor's Mansion. He should've realized that the Democrats were spending way too much 8 years ago. Now, as he sets his sights on the White House, he's singing a new song called "Cut Spending" Hmmmmmm, perhaps, he's reaching out to the Conservatives?!!!!!? Should he become POTUS, he'll go back to his old song, "Raise the Taxes, and Spend Spend Spend!"

I wonder how long it'll be before the Dems raise the tax rate.....all those far left idiots in Hollywood who preach for more social programs will be crying when the government takes 60%? 70%? 80%? maybe even 90%? of their income!

One mistake though....personal income was also taxed during the Civil war (1862), and several years after to pay for the cost of the war...… Social programs are a cancer that will eventually kill the USA..... You're right - thanks for the reminder. Was that voluntary too? You also highlight how the tax was initial introduced - to pay for the war. Seems we've been kept in wars ever since.
