There was this young woman . . .

There was this young woman
Who did not like me wearing cologne.
She believed,
The most intoxicating scent,
The most seductive smell,
Was inhaling the<b> perfume </font></b>of my own skin.

Do you love the scent of my own skin?
Does it drive you mad with desire?

Because out here in this wasteland,
I suspect that my skin is an odor
Too strong and pungent.

That is what I suspect
As I sit out here in this sacred circle
With no sign of you.

I suspect you do not want me.
I suspect you are holding me at bay till I am too weak.
I suspect it is all about your control

Rather than the mutuality
You tell me about all the time.

I suspect your absence is an excuse.
And I am angry.

Here I sit in this wasteland.
Inside the sacred circle.
Angry.
