 Although we are well-schooled in its inevitability, few of us are prepared for the moment that we confront mortality as a distant blur, stirring on our horizon. The indignities you describe are often years away, but the notion that you are more tired, less able to heal and that memories are slurring is nonetheless enervating. Whether it be by delusion or force of will, our only option is continue to charge full-gas into Life, accept diminished outcomes, but still embrace the awe and wonder that surrounds us.
