Sex... 😈 Lies... ðŸ˜ą and The Prison Mistress 🚓

( By the way.. Did you know that if you clic on the pics in this post, you'll enlarge them?)

FrankeeZee, (my buddy, who's also a blogger on that other sex site - â„ĒFOGCAF ), sat at my kitchen table. He pushed his laptop towards me and smiled. "Read this Paul. I've written, a great blog. I took your advice, and I've become more descriptive. I've kinda copied your style. It's a 'think piece'. It's about my Valentine's date, from LAST year. Remember... I told you the story?" I looked at FrankeeZee, raised an eyebrow and silently admitted - that I didn't know... what the fuck, he was talking about. I put my glasses on and began to read... FrankeeZee's blog.

His words began ...

It was to be, a Valentine's date, to remember. It started, as you'd expect that day to start - with a man and a woman... and the hope, of confirming true love. Yet, it ended, with a broken heart, a shattered dream... and a seriously, maxed out credit card ! Oh... and there was a short police chase. But that... was just a small, misunderstanding.

I was happily exchanging phone calls (for months and months), with a woman I'd found online. The set up to meet, after all the anticipation, was finally organized. The moment had arrived... I was ready.

As you know, I live in Montreal. She told me, that she lived an hour away, in Ottawa. We'd agreed, that I would travel to her, and meet, at a hotel. I'd booked a penthouse suite, at the ChÃĒteau Laurier, and I'd made, the dinner reservations. As a surprise bonus, I'd also bought, a pair of tickets, to see the Garth Brooks concert. It was going to be, a weekend, to remember.

On the day, we were to meet, I waited for her in that posh restaurant - 'Wilfrid's'. Have you heard of it? A discreet window seat, overlooking Canada's Parliament buildings and the old Rideau locks, assured a romantic setting.
Skaters, dotted the frozen river, gliding pair by pair, in the distance. I waited impatiently. Snowflakes, fluttered, cross the street light shadows, in slow motion rhythms. Four and a half hours later, I was still sitting alone. The maÃŪtre d', Bill, sauntered up to me, to let me know, they were closing... soon. I left shortly thereafter. My head was bowed and I was heartbroken. But damn, did they make a good onion soup - and really generous gin and tonics.

I spent the weekend alone, in my penthouse suite. She would have appreciated, the 20 jets, in that tub. I watched the Garth Brooks show, with an empty seat next to me .... The silhouette, of the couple in front of me, holding hands, and kissing... made my heart sink.

That woman of my dreams... eventually, contacted me, and confessed. It turns out, she missed our date, because she was residing, in a medium security prison, in Calgary... half a country away. She gets out in 2020.

I looked up, at FrankeeZee. "You couldn't figure out, earlier... that she might have been lying?"

"You know Paul...? When I think about it now... it was always, kinda strange. She'd only call me, on Tuesdays and Saturdays... between 7 and 7:30 at night. And... it was always a collect call."

I looked at FrankeeZee and blinked ...

"What's the title of your blog?"

"Oh... Good question Paul. Well.. it's a 'think piece' , like I said. Advice for men, and women, on what to look for. How to tell, if someone is lying. So... I thought, something simple - 'Don't Accept Collect Phone Calls ... "

"Hmmm... " I nodded.

" ... From Lying Bitches' , " FrankeeZee completed his sentence.

I coughed and cleared my throat... "Good advice. For sure. Yep..." I closed FrankeeZee's laptop. "What about that police chase? That small misunderstanding?"

"Yeah... well... I'm still writing, THAT blog."

I stood up and walked to the fridge. "Hey Frankee... you wanna another vodka slushie?"

"Sure. Yeah... I'll have one. Hey Paul... I'm just curious. Do you know any good lawyers?"

So...
Why do women and men lie to each other, on hook up sites ?
Do you enjoy going to a nice hotel or restaurant?

This is a picture, of the table by the window at 'Wilfrid's' Restaurant. In the background, you'll notice the Canadian Parliament Buildings. Quite romantic... I'd say... . .

I think, men and women both lie because of fear. The fear that they won't stack up to the image they've painted of themselves. There are probably other reasons as well. Tons of other reasons.ðŸĪ”ðŸ˜Ŋ

Classy Hotels are great. Such an illusion of how I might live if I had unlimited disposable income. On business trips, it's always a thrill, when they put me into a hotel that is a ' cut above'.. that average Motel, with the blinking lights, spelling, 'Color TV Included'.📚
Yep... I always enjoy classy hotels. 😊

Poor FrankeeZee. ðŸ˜ĒðŸ˜ķ

Makes no sense to me why one would lie especially if they plan on meeting. Of course they won't stack up to the image , because it's all a fabrication from the onset. Oy vey !!

Wow !! Sorry for your friend....I hope it's a lesson learned. What an empty ...and expensive weekend .

Both genders do it .....I'll never understand it though.

Now......what is that other site that your buddy is on ? I would love to explore ~~

I went to a very nice restaurant once ..... not just one with tablecloths and cloth napkins ..... but one with entree prices higher than my electrical bill. It was nice but part of me wondered all through dinner, what price I would have to pay later. Well, I didn't sleep with him ...... and I didn't get a second date, either.

I'll stick with averagely decent, thank you.

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

Yes they lie, for whatever reasons, and face to face meetings really do tell the true story. Honestly I don't get many of those, and age ends up being the most common lie,. The biggest liars are that that end up putting you off about meeting, , or standing you up, they are are the ones that lie to themselves and can't take having their lies reflected back at them from your eyes.

As far as classy hotels, I have stayed at a few, a few times on business, a few times on pleasure trips. If I'm paying for it myself, I found I tend to want to not leave the hotel in order to get my money's worth, so the hotel experience becomes as much the part of the trip as the destination.

I believe they're afraid of showing the other person that they've lied, so they don't even bother showing up. It's either that or - they show up and they're 20 years older than they said they were. ðŸ˜ą I don't know what is worse?
My buddy has to learn the hard way. He's way too gullible.. Oh well.... He'll learn... 😊

That's funny and sad... 'as large as your electrical bill'.. Eeee.. ðŸ˜ą Yep.. I've been to those. Mostly on business, but when it's coming out of your own pocket, it's a whole different level of shock! ðŸ˜ķ Who pays $15 for a sliver of cheese cake... Me? Lol... 🎂

Well.. on the other hand.. if they keep postponing a meeting, you might as well, right them off and save yourself the grief. ðŸ˜Ē
Great hotels are so much fun on someone else's dime, right? 😀 And it's so true, if you're paying for it.. you cherish every complimentary shampoo bottle... ðŸū😉

Well, I guess your track record is good then. As for the lying.. Well... I imagine it depends on how a person was brought up.. With so many people, living for themselves, without a thought for the feelings of others, lying might come pretty easily to them... ðŸĪ”
It might also depend on whether or not they (the liars), think they can get away with it. I'll either call out the liars.. But on other occasions... I'll just walk away. What's the point? ðŸ˜ķ

A sad story, and also made me sorry I never got to check out Wilbur's during the couple times I was in Ottawa!

I've had my share of long distance pursuers here....long back and forth intense heartfelt emails or extended chats on yahoo messenger (back when that was a thing - does anyone use it anymore?). It had a pattern - I would keep saying "this isn't going to go anywhere with you being so far away"... finally I would get interested enough to suggest "maybe we could travel to meet?" ....they would disappear shortly thereafter. I figure they were attached, or not what they were making themselves out to be...at least they blew me off before I went to the expense of buying a plane ticket!!

If you find out why people lie, be sure to let me know...I've got the same question. I haven't had an issue here, just a quest for knowledge, in general. (Lying ex, you see.)

Yes, I do enjoy a fancy restaurant or a fancy hotel...they can be fun, for sure.

I don't know why people choose to lie on here or any other online site or other forms of communication. No doubt there are as many reasons as there are people. The truth will alwayscome out. It's one of the reasons I have developed my own way to 'filter'. I would rather invest some time upfront to confirm and validate rather than later.
Luxury hotels provide a chance to re-charge, re-energize and perhaps get a glimpse into how the 'other half lives'. And someone else gets to clean-up the mess lol. Fine dining is known for the attention to detail, perfect execution and exceptional service and an eclectic blend of cuisines and dining concepts. Great to enjoy especially when someone else is footing the bill lol.
I have the opportunity to experience both and each was a memorable experience.

I think people lie, everywhere. It happens that on this site, there's this vehicle called - "blogs" , allow people to vent. But seriously.. lying people exist everywhere. Here.. it turns out to be more obvious, what with the goal being, a 'meet', that's at stake. So no one has messed with you? Good for you! . Keep your eyes and ears open, and I'm sure you'll be able to tell the difference between the fakers and the real ones. 😊😘

My favorite fancy restaurant was Davios in Philadelphia. Probably where we had the the biggest bill...I think it was about $425 for 2 people...but I didn't pay the bill.

I'd actually rather have a swanky hotel room than a crazy expensive meal. Is there anything more fun than sharing a big, king sized bed covered in luxurious, soft linens with a lover?!

I am a sheet snob so yep a classy hotel that's several cuts above But I also stayed in Motel 6's and Super 8s. Best one ever was the Shelburne Marriott in Dublin OMG go check it out ) I still dream about going there again even just for a cocktail. Wine and cheese at 4pm in your room, turn down service with chocolates on the pillows, bathroom big enough for a party

Threw some pottery today, trying to put thoughts "on paper" for a blog post, and can't seem to put coherent thoughts together...everything is disjointed and not making sense, lol.
