Beneath the scars
Beneath the scars I want to share something with you this morning that I hope will inspire you. Two years ago I was rushed into hospital with a burst appendix. I was in hospital for 11 days and had to have open surgery. I couldn’t walk for almost two months and was left with a huge scar. Because the surgeon had to cut through my stomach muscles I appear, when naked that I have a “belly”. No amount of sit ups or crutches will ever knit my abs back together. The only way that would happen is with surgery, which I don’t want. Every day I wear a vest which pulls in my stomach, I guess for vanity and for not wanting to be judged. I used to adore swimming and it took me a long time to build the confidence to get back in the pool. I realise I am still me with the scar but it has been a healing process on more than just my body. I want to encourage you. With your scars, your lumps and bumps. With your little imperfections, you are still you. You are still sexy and desirable to someone. Have a good day and don’t forget to love yourself. DOMinic x |

A lion does not concern itself with the opinion of sheep. It is what it is, everyone has scars or something they would change about themselves. The opinion of others should not matter.
