Power

Where does my Dominance derive?
From where does it come?
My bravado? My arrogance?
How much power could I actually hold?
On my own, I am just wind and fury
No substance
No form
It is my sub that GIVES me her power
To not be above her,
But beside her and be the yin to her yang
She fills the empty space
In this she is to be honored
Cherished
Adored
I cannot be Master if I have no obedient one
I cannot be Dom without someone to willingly submit
Power is given, earned through a relationship
Not just assumed
In this, I believe

 On your own , you have to own your power position, NOT depend on a sub to give you power.

Otherwise, you don't actually have power.

 Owning it means nothing without a sub who is the right match for you. If I rule by power without consent, I am a controller. If however I rule by consent, I am her Master by choice, and therefore Lord of her heart mind and body. I believe you and I will respectfully agree to disagree on this one, Heathen_G.

Yes, I think we probably will agree to disagree.

Owning power is a self actualization, a projection of self, and so therefore others are more willing to give consent.

One doesn't rule by consent, one rules by respect. If a person is not respected/believable, they cannot rule. If a person is not given consent, that person can still rule, but it would be more tyrannical , instead of fun.

You have to be her Master, by your choice. She just has to say , Yes or No. If she respects your status, you are Lord of her heart, body and mind. So reasonably you can't have Master-power [over someone] if you're not believable enough. If you don't first project power, you have none.

But yes, you and I will probably disagree. Have a good day.
