Little Nerdy Bit
Little Nerdy Bit In 2016 when Batman vs Superman came out comic nerds were all giddy with what could be. I myself was excited. I wanted Batman to destroy that showboating alien... Yes even living in the birthplace of Superman I am not a fan. Anywho I thought the movie was poorly done on a lot of fronts. I think Affleck is a poor Batman (slow and not suited for the role) and I thought that Cavill as Superman is unbelievable in the role. He seems to into himself, and not humbleistic enough. (sure I make words up as I go). There were two aspects of the movie that I absolutely loved. The first was the introduction of Wonder Woman to the DCEU (or the Worlds of DC as its now being billed) Gadot was amazing in the role and quiet frankly when she arrives and fights everyone gets clued to the screen. She made you ready for her solo movie (which turned out outstanding). The other aspect was Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. I thought his portrayal of the Character was inspired and fun. Now the biggest complaint that most fans had (that I heard) was that Luthor had Red hair. He is supposed to be bald blah blah blah. Normally a little artistic license does not bother me. Especially since I know they take parts of these characters from many ages and story lines trying to appease everyone. This specific thing however, (the red hair) had me giddy, and here is why... That is right. Lex Luthor's first appearance Action Comics #23 from 1940. Hair is red. So why do we think he is bald? Fun fact - Shuster and Siegel could not keep up with the demand for their creation of Superman for all the publications he appeared in. So they utilized a lot of "ghost" artists to help out. Well one such artist got Luthor confused with a henchmen and drew him bald. Twice, two separate publications. So the comic creators did what anyone would do. They kept him bald and 20 later wrote in a story of how Luthor lost his red locks. But he has been bald since the 60's until Batman vs Superman. Nothing like a little worthless trivia for a Thursday huh? So now you know... |

I myself aren't much into the comics or the movies, but I have to say Lynda Carter who played Wonder Woman in the series I always thought of her as an idol as she was so very beautiful, and a great person. Good to know that the new Wonder Woman movie is a good one as there aren't many of those..

Which is odd because the DC movies have been overall disappointing.

If we are talking Movie wise I'm a Michael Keaton as Batman all the way. If we are talking best Batman period then I'm an Adam West fan. I love that campy show from the 60's.
