The Bedroom and the Truck..A Love Story?

I get teased by women and friends alike, about two things. My truck and my bedroom.

My truck, because I just refuse to sell it or replace it. Back when I was married, I use to lease two new vehicles every year. After the divorce, I was coming up on the end of the lease on the truck and got to thinking. I don't a new truck. So I kept it. Now, it's just like a part of me. LOL My argue over who gets it when I die. Does it say anything about me? Maybe that not hung up on the materialistic things anymore. Maybe that practical. Or maybe, as I stated in another post, just a little stubborn about some things. haha. (I also have a pair of boots I've owned for over 25 .)

My bedroom , because though the rest of the house looks like a normal, decorated house, my room looks like a teens room. Guitars hanging on the walls, wave boards on one side. Amps and microphones, for some of my recording stuff . You can tell in a second what I am into. Well there is a king size bed too. haha

Point being, anyone can walk into my bedroom and pretty much get a bead on what into. It may not describe exactly who I , but you could pick up on a couple of my passions real easily. And quite a few, have made the comment, This looks like a teens room. LOL

So, do you think you can tell anything from what people drive? If someone walked into your house, could they tell what you are into? How much of yourself is expressed in your vehicle and your room? Just some rambling thoughts....

I had a lady friend one time tell me all the guitars on the walls made her nervous. I never could figure that one out.

Hm...what could one deduce from my 2003 rusty minivan? That I'm cheap...um, frugal. I meant frugal.
My living space has current interests and remnants of past passions. Not easy, though to tell what is Then and what is Now. I have things that are older than your boots.

First off...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

haha, Snoopy plates. I loved the Peanuts. Still love that piano piece Schroeder would play.

See, Ive gotten to be the same way about cars and stuff. Years back I did some Estate Tax Counseling. One of my richest clients , worth well over 40 mil, drove an old rusty truck. Dressed in old jeans. You'd think he was a ranch hand, instead of owning the ranch. haha.

Oh..the Bondage stuff is in the walk in closet. I'm like a closet Dom.

What could you tell about my car? Possibly that I like reliability and am also a little fond of speed lol.

My house??? I guess they would see that I love my grandkids....the walls are covered with pictures of them!!! Oh and that I also love my garden too.

Frugal is a great word. I like it.

But it is things that you enjoy. So someone could come in and say..oh you like..(fill in the blank)

The rest of my house is pretty non descriptive, just not the bedroom. LOL

Ha.. 😁 I've been a musician for most of my life. My house is littered with clues - earphones, electric keyboard, a practice drum kit, mixers, Cd's, drum sticks. My office doubles as my music room, so yeah - people would be able to tell in a flash. The car I drive is (always has been) a Honda.. It's relatively fast.. Actually - it's probably the driver behind the wheel who 'thinks' he's fast, when he drives it. I'm maturing though... 🤔

LOL...I knew I liked you. Another speed demon. It's why I won't let myself buy another bike. I like fast bikes, and if I have one, I'm usually flying.

Hadn't thought about pictures. That's a good point. One could tell right away you have grandkids.

Yeah, it's sorta hard to hide the music stuff. LOL

I'd like to think I've matured some behind the wheel. At least no one thinks I'm a stunt driver any more.

A truck is a man’s vehicle. They are hot. I don’t think anyone could walk in my home and know me. Some family pics but just a traditional woman’s home. Neat, feminine, traditional and far from flashy I guess. My car is basic Toyota but I do love the old classic cars. My fave would be a gto from late 60’s. Happy 97th bday, you old fart.

Well....if they notice the pottery lying around, maybe one of my interests. If they got near the sewing room...yeah...then they'd know, lol. (But I keep that door shut when company is here...it's a MESS. )

My daily is an 84 Toyota pickup - it is not suitable to pick up women. But if a woman were to get in it would easily get us where we are going. I had a g/f whose bff said she liked me but I should be driving a "better car". The truck is still running the EX g/f had been through 3 pos vehicles by the time my radio was playing "Already Gone"

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

See that's the way the rest of my house is. Hell you probably wouldn't even guess I'm a single guy.

Love the old GTO's. I used to buy, rebuild and sell old Mustangs. Might end up getting another one when I retire....but I'm keeping the truck.

I have to confess...i use the truck a lot as a classifier. If a friend doesn't want to go out with me cause of my truck...it sets off a flag for me. I find it cheaper, and more fun..to just rent a nice car if it's a date night to a special place.

No body puts truck in the corner.

It's a vintage set he bought at a pawn shop...can't remember how much, but it was way under what they're worth. I bought him the rack system for a birthday present. Taught him to play guitar when he was 15...now he's way better than I ever was on the guitar..plays bass, keyboards and he's a helluva drummer.

See the little set on the bottom right? That's where my grandson plays along with us..He's three. LOL

I still am not sure what she found spooky about being surrounded by guitars...puts me in heaven.

I drive a 2003 Jeep Liberty. I prefer a pickup, but the last one I had developed a lot of problems and drank lots of gas, so the Jeep was cheaper. As for my house....first, you'd be able to tell I make soap since there's so much of it sitting on my dining room table and on the cabinet by the window. Then there's the furniture. lol Not your typical furniture and decor for most women. I have massive log furniture. King bed with a headboard that's 5 feet tall and about 300 lbs. Yup...just the headboard. lol Shower curtain with elk and moose, from Cabelas. And of course, I've got guns and have owned motorcycles and hot rods. I also collect dragons.

Hahah...that's great. I knew you made soap, from our conversations. How goes the candles?

Sound like I'd love your headboard.

Its always great when you can walk into someones house and see what they are all about. Here where I am now you would never know because I sold all of my stuff I had before.

I drive a truck to and now that I am back in CA I kind of wish I didn't as the gas prices keep going up... I think it's great that your kept your truck, and music plays a huge part in both of our lives and its great thing because sexy music always leads to other sexy things..

I hope your Thursday has been a terrific one..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..
