Looking Good Naked

First, thanks for reading my blog. While I do gain a lot from blogging, I hope that these entries will help or give someone some food for thought.
On August 3, my wife and I posted our first profile on another website. It was around that time I looked myself in the mirror and asked "Would I want to play with you?" My answer was no - I was not happy with my body. I had spent 53 years not really giving a shit about how I looked. It was that day I decided I needed to change.
First was Planet Fitness. 30 minutes on the life cycle was a good start and prepared me for what was to come. Unfortunately, I was intimidated by the machines and free weights but slowly started using them. Then a friend at work suggested something.
She had been going to this gym which focused on High Intensity Interval Training and she had seen real results. I went one day (first day free) and instantly felt that it was exactly what I was looking for. The motivation coach ( they don't consider themselves trainers) Are about as laid back as you can get, but comes up with the wildest isometric workouts anyone has ever seen. I I never walk out of there without being drenched in sweat and feeling that I accomplished something I can be proud of. The hilarious thing is that afterwards I go to Planet Fitness, first to tan but lately to work on arms and abds, and the staff looks at me curiously since I look so worn out.
The bad news - I'm sore pretty much all the time. I suffered a bad sprain to my right knee, and severely pulled a muscle to my right side so badly that I couldn't lie flat for almost 3 weeks. But I also realize that my body is going through some pretty major changes so there will be a little pain and I need to embrace it instead of avoiding it.
If you have any questions feel free to ask. Also, if you are interested in working out - Athlean X on Youtube is incredible. The owner, Jeff, covers everything from diets to proper lifting techniques, and has videos of WWE stars working out in his gym (Jinder Mahal's video is very inspirational).

Peace, love and soul!
