Invitations to Play

I get all sorts of messages from people asking if interested in having some fun with them. Once I've concluded that there's some compatibility between us, I often let them know when available. not the type of person to invite myself, but why do those that want to meet not give me some form of an invitation? It would be nice if a person would just say "Hey, free on Friday evening, would you like to come over?"
