DO OPEN RELATIONSHIPS WORK?
When an open relationship is working is a great experience to have.
We feel loved, and free to follow our sexual impulses.
When it doesn't it's filled with jealousy, insecurity and self hatred (loathing).
The same can be said about a failing monogamous relationship.
The same problems that make monogamy unbearable, are the same ones that can make non-monogamous relationships fail.
However, these problems can be amplified in<b> open relationships.
</font></b>The only difference are the people who want to, break the boundaries and step out into something new and exiting.
Nonetheless, even in a completely open relationship, with absolute freedom we still cant have it all.
Every decision has rules, boundaries and consequences.
There is no right answer but there is always compromise.
Those who seek this type of freedom trade something in return. Time, comfort, stability,intimacy (to a certain degree at least).
Not emphasizing that we all need to start going to swinger parties, but i believe in loosening up in monogamy, can increase deeper friendships and more intimate partnerships.
