Looking for a Relationship Online
Looking for a Relationship Online I am havimng my morning coffee at Starbucks and thinking about my experience so far. I wonder if others are feeling the same. I have been married a long time and after a few years (yes, years) of a lack of intimacy took the step of finding an onlione friend two weeks ago.I didn't make the choice lightly but feel that perhaps there is some justification in doing so. Well, So far, my experience has not been very encouuraging. I imagine that women have to sift through so many creepy guys to find one that is a normal caring person. 90% of the people who get in touch with me are from out of state or country. Their main motivation seems to be to build a connection and then ask for money. One woman weaved an elaborate story of working in art sales and said she was local but in the end, after two weeks of emails, she just wanted a "loan" of $2000.oo. I was able to figure out that she lived abroad. She was good and if she really had been local, and had we met, I may well have been tempted. So, I suggest that meeting fairly soon in a safe and public place is the best way to avoid all the fake people out there. Sure, a woman's safety is a paramount concern so meet a few times or several to figure out whether the person is trustworthy. As a man, I support being safe and as a coffee lover am willing to meet anyone within a reasonable driving distance. Het. You meet, no fireworks, no problem. Let's be careful out there but let's find ways to meet and get to know each other. |
