Real, or Not Real, that is the question
Real, or Not Real, that is the question So you join a website, knowing there are realities and fantasies that exist. You read the ads, you the pictures, and you try to pique some interest in the ones you feel are real. You flirt with some just to pass along good vibes or because you like their thoughts or pictures. Of maybe both. Nothing in return. Not an answer nor a wink. How many bots did you dodge? And even as you limit yourself in contact, you wonder if any of it is real. You wonder about the average lady on here. Then you see her "friends" and understand why you're getting nothing in return. An average guy looking for a connection here and there. One that could actually keep good a conversation, isn't a frog, could probably provide a more lasting impression ... doesn't stand a chance. Ok so look around. With all the sixpacks and ken dolls munching on the lonely hearts, if you want to start a conversation, you might start thinking you need to be a fantasy. Fake a picture or two. Find a good backstory, and tell some tall (or is that long) tales. Whisper sweet nothings with empty promises. Maybe that works. Hmmm. Well this is one average Joe that refuses to go to those measures. I'm not a guy looking to add notch upon notch for conquests. I'm going to be real amongst the fantasies. No reason to chase the Barbie doll bots and stuck on themselves princesses. And maybe I'll find myself sitting with a gorgeous real lady (inside and outside), discussing each other's hopes and desires (and wants and needs), and then maybe falling into each other's eyes and arms (for sweet dessert, shared and savored). So will it be real or chase a fantasy for you? |
