It is what it is... the giant cocked mystery This is a... reality ? I've been thinking for years how wonderful would be have a site like this where people can communicate and find lovers and fellow travelers in whatever kink or interest one has, free from the tyranny of morality that prevents so many other sites from going this route.... then I realized that this is not a site for the good of the participants, but for the good of the company/brand/empire.  This empire includes all those friend finding variations, and practices that make them seem be more than they all are. Like profiles that still exist, but have not had any activity, including a login - since 20... often earlier. Dead profiles. This makes seem like are thousands of options for anyone, but in reality are few, or none. I imagine that if I lived in some town in the midwest, that seeing 400 profiles near me would be awe-inspiring. Of course, here, 1 of those 400 profiles was created in the last year and one may have an active member, in my town of 3,000. We all know that is too, Mr. Jenkins the druggist lives above his store. We can see the glowing screen late at night, and hear the panting. I digress. The point here is that placing the site in perspective, I realize that my options are very very very very . I can hope that one more special person will come along and appreciate my stories, my well thought out and thorough... and sincere profile. I hope that one person of the few and are local will appreciate that I am a real person among flakes. I'm busy, and have a full time job, and a house. I live in a large metropolitan area, but find that filtering through the one stop visitors and the regulars, that are too few people to satisfy any but prurient interests. I write<b> stories </font></b>from my experiences, some from fantasies, and mostly from what I wish were true (feminist, realistic, critical-thinking...) I'm always looking for intelligent, sensual/sexual, open and interesting discourse. I get , because we're so fucking busy cruising the possibilities that we just can't even remember the maxim, 'don't forget stop and smell the roses'. I've met one rose here, met one other casual person here, and conversed occasionally with some regular 'friends' here, but have never found anyone able to just stop and communicate. It seems like a practical impossibility to do so for all the gunk filling this space. I read a blog comment recently where a sincere member said he was lobbying to get Eh Ef Ef to remove dead profiles. They never will, because they don't care at all about us, just about the we give them, and the pretense of being a place meet people. I have a far better chance of meeting someone on a bus route than here. I'm not being bitter, I'm being realistic. are far more presently available people of interest in any bus in a city than are at any one time on this site. I might as well pass out interest cards on the bus and see what takes. And I can have fantasies based on the real people I see, rather than the imagined or portrayed people I don't (here). So the reality can be brought right into your own sphere by searching fro members nearby and showing profiles without pictures. You'll see thousands of profiles created in the middle 2000s that have never subsequently been logged into. How do I know? I've done some research. I searched for most recent login and near me and went to the end of the line. The of profiles grows huge when you go back 15 years. How I know is because some people have joined in, say - 20, and they are most recently logged in behind a member joined in 2013... the 2013 member can't have logged in before joining, so that shows the 20 member as never having logged in again (after their initial spurt of interest). Not sure what Eh Ef Ef gains by keeping dead profiles except the ability claim them as 'members' and bulk their numbers. We all know they do that. What means is that we spend a lot of time sorting through dead and never-intended-for-use profiles... or fake profiles. Hope this perspective helps someone! has helped me!
