 There was a super suggestion yesterday about going through all the local profiles and just blocking all the fuglies,as she put it. married couples,nut jobs.

 I wish that I could offer some meaningful advise but I am honestly mirroring your experience in that the site has been an absolute bust for me, not finding anyone that i am interested in and those women that I do write, for all the response I get, I might as well have written what I had to say on a post-it note, wadded it up and tossed it in the trash
I do hope that it gets better for you, as for myself I am really not trying any longer, there is just no point.

 This site has its issues. There are some genuine and nice people here. Unfortunately, they all seem to be somewhere long distance.
There are several people I know that are here for the blogs and conversation. That is what this has come to.
