Site frustration Ahh the good ol' days when FriendFinder-x used to be a place where you could actually meet people. I remember when I first joined this site and you could message anyone you wanted via the . Sure, it didn't ALWAYS work but it worked enough of the time that you could communicate with people and get to know them. Now as a "free" member, it's points here, points there. I tried to initiate a with a woman that had emailed minutes earlier. It points. I have no idea whether it went through or not. She's still on the but who knows whether she read it or not. You used to be able to read emails when someone sent you one. For instance, when a woman did message me, I'd actually be able to read it. Now, it just prompts me to<b> upgrade. </font></b>Even better that she's a gold member. What's the purpose of gold membership if the people you're sending an email to can't even read it? It's completely backwards. You used to be able to send "flirts" and know that the other person actually got them. Now, who the hell knows what happens when you push that button. guessing probably nothing unless you "upgrade to gold". |

It's greed. Everything is for money now. It's the way drug dealers work: get them hooked, then charge for everything.

I don't understand why all the fuss about a small fee to have entertainment..Are so many so cheap that they want a handout for entertainment?. I have been here for years, Yes it is different, the price of a car is different, groceries are high. Went into the meat market the other day and asked what was free? The butcher just laughed, he said "even the air we breathe isn't free any more, get real" so look at it like a business, some one has to pay, and it has to be the ones that use it.. The site , as it has done so many times in the past , is trying to revamp. Hopefully , they will figure it out and settle on something. You are right....they will just be recycling gold members, cause everyone knows ...golds are getting action on a daily basis right ? Makes no sense when a gold tries to communicate with a standard...and the standards hands are tied. Many people are just leaving, not upgrading....cuz upgrading has just as many glitches, and they make unauthorized charges on people cc, not allowing people to pay with pre paid card etc. Yes...its a business...and this franchise has a gazillion affiliates...they are ALL making money. Time to explore other sites....try F...e....t......they have a non pay component.~~

I'm not opposed in the slightest to a business making money. Do what you gotta do. My point is what's the incentive to upgrade? If I see a woman I'm interested in and she's standard, it isn't going to matter whether I have gold or not, she's not able to read my message. So now I've upgraded and the person I want to communicate with, I still can't communicate with. It seems like a poor site design especially given how many bots have been around for years.
