Experience on this site So I thought I'd share my experience on this site and see if it rings a bell for any of you as well and maybe those of you who are less tolerant of the odd rant may realise why. So I joined about a month ago as a free member to see if I got any messages but found, like many other sites, you can't see or do anything without paying so after a week I was lulled into buying the standard<b> upgrade </font></b>not realising at the time I was also going to be billed for 3 months gold membership since it wasn't exactly clear. Anyway, after sorting that out and getting it reduced to 1 month of gold, since they wouldn't refund me, at least I could browse and see messages. No doubt you all experienced the same thing on day 1, quite a few visitors and messages although most turned out to be fakers after just a few short messages. Since then it went quiet, maybe a handful of visitors looking at my profile several flirts but never any messages and when I did get messages it was from people in different continents mostly the USA and "T" girls. All fakers again. Had 2 or 3 short conversations again all from people abroad looking for a life partner. After several re-writes of my profile trying to thin these out I still get them even now. Unfortunately that's about as far as it's got in 3 weeks of gold membership. Visitors from abroad, flirts and not much else. Sent out plenty of messages and some IM's when it's working but most people are only free members and I don't know if they can even get or read what I send, It's very disheartening when nobody ever responds and the only people that show an interest are fakers. Yes ladies you may get lots of messages and I'm sure it works both ways but sometimes even just a simple answer to let me know one way or another is better than just total silence. So yes it's very frustrating and some days I may not be in the best mood but I do always try and be polite even to fakers. So here I am now after 4 weeks with just one week left to go of Gold membership. A recent search of gold members within 50 miles of me brought up a massive 37 results so it's no wonder I'm not getting anywhere really. It appears this site is just another one that wants your money but has no real activity on it in this country at least from what I can see. So in summary a very negative experience all round and losing the will to continue after my subscription runs out at which point I may as well just delete myself. |

I agree. most of your profile views were put there by FriendFinder-x, not the actual person. this site is a big fraud.

I have to admit I'm clueless about the area which you live, but you should be happy you became a gold member, even if just for a month, because now you know the reality of what you are facing, and not left wondering what you could be missing? Perhaps if you were in another location where there were hundreds or thousands of members your story could have been different. But now you know .

When you go beyond just offering to date someone traditionally what you find is a lot of people who just aren't willing to put there money where their mouth is. Does the word tease ever come up in any conversations about what this site offers and those that are offered carte blanche memberships. I think one of my favorite exchanges to read is when a silhouetted member asks for advice and someone whose own image is that of a pair of breasts or stockinged legs asks why they don't show a picture of themselves. You get a pretty good idea of just how flawed the whole concept really is! Using more than all the road!
