The struggle is real

So the rule about getting involved with someone you work with still applies, right? That is, you just don't. Got it.

But a couple of months have passed since she started working with us, well, down the hall a ways, with nothing but polite, professional, respectful conduct. We've been alone in each other's offices, having casual conversations that aren't about work--but never getting cute or flirty.

But at an after-work thing a couple of weeks ago, we were just about the last ones in the place and there was just a little touch. Her hand on my thigh. Nothing more.

And even with a few glasses of wine, we didn't flirt.

But dammit. That rule is a task<b> master.</font></b>
