Thanks for the comment BiggLala. As it turns out, most of the "denying" wasn't coming from my Bank, only the very first. And according to WF fraud department, the initial denial was simply from a noticed deviation in my normal online spending and because I'm in Mexico at present, they are very sensitive to such things.

That said, I agree with you for the most part. My take is that it is simply a way for FriendFinder-x to try to get business for their affiliate partners. If as often happens and a user doesn't read the fine print and cancel immediately after getting their "ID" they will have been charged, usually around $39.99 for a month's membership in the affiliate Web Cam site.

In any event, the "ID" is worthless as any kind of protection as I discuss in my next post. If you want safety, get the person's name and check it out on a real background check site. If they won't give you their real name then just don't any further.
