People get nervous about meeting in person. I think they are nice and brave online, then never follow through

Who knows for sure? There is something artificial about all sites. The "what is artificial" is what varies.

It's just like any other dating, etc, site.

Scammers never sleep, or saw a web-site they didn't flood with bullshit profiles.

idk. what qualifies as fake? i can't tell. but i do find the profile w/o a pic of any kind and only a few lines pretty suspect. but other than that i wouldn't be able to concretely identify a profile as fake. i do know that some people don't show up after they said they would meet. is that a fake person or did they change their mind or get a better offer. i've read those stories where that has happened to some. this is why i talk until i'm the one that is comfortable. if someone tries to rush me along or be real aggressive, that won't move me out of my comfort zone; that'll just make me dig in my heels. we ALL want to meet some fairly compatible to our own. so be upfront. it's not cool to waste a person's time.

You will find this on most dating sites. I am real and already have swing friends. If I meet some people on here so be it, if not it's all good.

In the last week, I became aware that a frequent poster in the blogs is some sort of fake. She posts pictures that are likely taken from the Internet - often pictures of people having sex - that she claims are pictures of her having sex with her various and numerous casual sex partners.

About a week ago she posted pictures that showed enough of a mans face in the pictures - that I was able to recognize him as a porn star I had seen in a video once before.

I am torn between just keeping my mouth shut, and not starting some kind of issue in the blogs - or outing this yet another fake, as some people have suggested everyone should do.

Agree. For some reason SOME think online is different. Offline people are scammers and spammers. People lie, cheat etc.

Humans are the most dangerous animals on earth.

If only animals had the ability to know when to keep away from us humans they would be better off.

To me a fake will never meet. People do change their mind but don't let the person know. To me not a fake. Between cheating spouses getting caught or meeting somebody else there is any number of reasons why people do not meeting
Health, work etc. They wanted to but things happen

In my opinion it is done by the site itself or they at the least allow it to trick members into paying for gold so they can contact fakes

I would say let it go unless there is a specific purpose for it.

Well one thing is for certain everyone seems to have their own definition
of what this site is and those who can't read profiles and message people anway have created enough doubt, suspicion and paranoia for everyone.

Body parts and silhouettes that have given themselves names and
question why other people are always playing games.
Coaxing the hoax!

Using more than all the road!

I did (Let it go), they aren't really bothering me, or anyone else that I could see anyway.

well... my guess is that there are alot of people on here who enjoy the thrill of the chase, or the thrill of imagining.

But me.. if i was to tell you that i'd like to eat you.. i'm very serious.

The question then becomes.. is that something we'd both like to do.

I suppose i'll have to wait to see if you say yes.

Lots of food for thought. I seem to agree with almost every reply here, some more than others. I myself met a lady that needed help with her living conditions that it was the topic of many of our conversations . I like a good man that I am ,I offered to help. Although I was not able offer financial help i did offer my knowledge & ability as well as my mechanical skills to repair her automobile.
I replaced the fuel pump on her AUDI TT wanting nothing in return. She promised everthing under the sun. You guessed it after driving 4 hours and 3 hours labor I repaired the car. As soon as I was done her boyfriend showed up to pick up his car She lied and told me it was hers. neither one said thank you. i packed my tools a left without saying good bye. I'm one who believes in " whats goes around comes around". I was very happy I never heard from her every again.
To this day I'm still the same person and would offer others help if I could. However today i'm a bit wiser.
