An email, a disappointment, a rant.

Logged in yesterday find that I have an email from someone relatively close by, around my age, and a cupid match. This person was standard member, just like me, so I couldn't read the message entirely. Also, noting that she was standard also, I assumed she spent points message me. I was excited and ecstatic the idea of meeting a new person who could be an ideal match. (yeah i know, lame.)

Eventually I noticed above the blurry illegible was a notice that this person was an 'ambassador'. I had no idea what this meant, as I do not really keep up with FriendFinder-x updates etc. I just log on, check my views/flirts/emails, see whos on IM, then log off. So i was left with questions.

Did a little prodding on and on this site, seems 'ambassadors' are members who were selected in welcoming newbies and the like, keep the community blossoming. Being familiar with FriendFinder-x's business practices, I knew this was shit.

Since the email, this person has not logged on or made any attempt contact .(It isn't difficult really, even offsite.) But I digress, this is nothing more than a way for 'privileged' members accumulate points and possibly fool people into buying silver or gold memberships to only be met with disappointment.

I can't blame them, an easy way to collect points landed in their lap and they grabbed the opportunity. Cool. Good for you. No shade directed at anyone at all. Love and peace.

I for one, do not like nasty hateful messages. There is a lack of love and respect in the world, the last thing we need is more hate. But that being said, I can't blame people for venting their frustration whenever someone indirectly fools them into buying a membership they didn't really want. It's funny to see these ambassadors complain about that, you got your points why are you complaining? Cause you tricked someone and now they're mad, and theiir frustrations make you upset? Take the good with the bad, you chose to do something and now you have to reap what you sow.

Ambassador? Or con artist? Lemme know what you think, if you care enough.

Peace
