PLEASE PROVE YOUR IDENTITY

After the fifth scam in less than a week, I must start all conversations like this. It’s a shame, but I am a target of criminals preying on older men and I need instant verification that I am actually speaking to the woman in the profile. All have declined video calls with excuses like the following gal who claimed her IBM laptop doesn’t have a webcam:

“That's a shame about your laptop. I've researched the IBM ThinkPad and every model over the past five years has a camera, even the cheapest one which sells for under $400.00. I looked at older models and they all have webcams too. You can buy a refurbished one-year-old model for $94.00 on eBay. It has a webcam. You should invest in one.”

“What about your phone. Surely your phone has a webcam. Every phone has one for the past ten years.”

You see, I've been scammed five times in less than a week by women asking for money. They don't ask until hours and hours of chat in which I do most of the talking. That gets old quick. I’m not looking solely for sex. I’m picky. I want to connect with an intelligent woman who’s been successful in life like myself. I'm looking for someone real, someone as excited to meet me as I am to meet them, someone financially stable enough to travel at their own expense to meet me and then permit me to pay for everything after that. If a woman doesn't pay her way to get to a location, then I have no guaranty that she's not a scam.

There are hundreds, perhaps thousands of women, who are slaves in Ghana and Russia who tour these dating sites looking for men and then asking for financial help when the deal seems done. They give a wire transfer location or a PayPal account and say they're ready to come to New York but need the funds to buy a ticket. They don't want the ticket; they want the money. They're on the computer all day long, talking to a dozen men, raising cash for their masters, or themselves.

So, what does a person like me do? The best thing is to find someone real in your own town or neighborhood. But, from my experience, the only women who reach out are all from hundreds and thousands of miles away. The only remedy is to find stable women who have money to spend to meet me. They should be as invested in meeting me as I am in meeting them. But the first thing they must do is prove they are real. They can show a driver's license, a passport with their name on it, and full motion video, walking around their house, stepping outside into their neighborhood, driving to verifiable locations in their cities.

I'm willing to do that, and so must they. I hope you understand. Get yourself a phone or a laptop and be prepared to prove your identity, just like me. If you can’t be transparent, then something is obviously wrong. Contact me when you can verify that you are real, and then we can talk. After one week, I think I’ve only met one woman who is real and can communicate intelligently. Every one of the others has proven to be a fake.
