Sounds like a good plan. Though keeping tabs on homes in two different places would be a pain in the butt. Wondering if the place up north is okay while your down south, and vice versa.

Living in a resort area. Most of my neighbors have two places. A condo here and their real home in either Philly or FL.

I so agree with you about the warmer areas.

I'm not a fan of the colder weather anymore. I'm slowly looking into the OBX area of NC. I love the change of seasons. Just not the coldness that winter brings.

Yeah, I'm not big on condos. Buying something then paying a monthly fee like a rent just seems silly to me. The changing seasons is a good point. Though at my age I've seen the seasons change enough times that I don't think I'd really miss seeing it. Fall and Spring are nice, but your never assured that they will be warm enough around here. There is always a chance for that late April snowstorm, or an early one in October. NC may be different, but I'm ready to even let the chilly air behind.

Yeah, the winters seem to get longer every year. As for the polite little guy asking to please refill the bird feeder? Heck, there were so many acorns dropping this year we had to push them off the side walks with a push broom, so people wouldn't slip on them and fall. The little guys are well stocked I'm sure, and if not they always come out when it warms up a bit and get more.

Yeah, that might be nice. As long as it stayed warm enough. Though I'm not sure I'd enjoy living with bears..unless your talking furry guys then I might, might give it some thought.
