My new desk is now put together. It took me three hours to do it but it's finished now. I also got a load of laundry done as well as going to work yesterday. True I didn't get the laundry folded or put away, but hey it is what it is right?

Going on the Book-Face yesterday it was nice to see that all the political stuff was pretty much gone. A few of my friends who were Trump supporters were crying the blues. But aside from that it I actually smiled a couple of times on memes that had been posted, and laughed out loud at some others. Some days during the campaign it felt like a chore going in there, nice to see that things are getting back to normal.

My stomach is doing better today, though I'm still a bit sore from the arthritis. I doubt that will ever go away fully.

When I went out to throw away the box my desk came in I saw someone had over loaded the dumpsters again. I'm thinking the one lock-out eviction finally came back to get the stuff out of their apartment on Saturday. I hope so, because if they did I won't have to deal with the mess like I had to in the other lock-out eviction unit last week. Oh, there will still be a mess in there I'm sure, but none of the heavy crap to deal with at least. As it is the dumpster driver might not pick the bins up at all, seeing how they are too over loaded with furniture and the like. One thing that pisses those guys off the most is furniture in the dumpsters. The tenants know they aren't supposed to put stuff in the dumpsters like that, but they still do.

Any who, tonight after work I'll move my computer and stuff into the den on to the new desk. Then set my TV, and DVD player up on the stand it should be setting on in my bedroom instead of the old corner unit desk it was on in there. Which will give me more room to get around in the bedroom not having to navigate around the old desk. By the end of this week my place should be back to normal ( like it did before the kids decided to move back in with me and turn my place into a boarding house. )

Off to shower now....

at my apt for a long time folks have left usable furniture in front of the dumpster for other people to grab. i am moving. i left a spare key with good friends who just got a house. they came by yesterday to measure my leather love seat and matching ottoman. i think the loveseat is going to need a uhaul as their truck has a camper top. i also asked them to go through anything except shelves, boxes, bedroom and bedroom closet and consider it a freebie grab. RIPLEY asked me about the new computer tote bag on the ottoman. And I was like... can you send me a photo? And i said. YES. that is your's if you want it. new with tag. with my changing jobs i'm not going to need to haul a laptop to the office anymore...

That's the way move outs should be handled. Though most of the furniture that get left at the dumpsters here isn't good enough to be reused by anyone. Have a good one!

You know you've done a good job putting together the computer desk when there are no leftover parts or pieces. Or in some cases, have that 1 missing screw that wasn't in the box but you still completed the assembly.
