What is St. Patrick's Day? Though it sometimes get lost in the shuffle between Valentines Day and Easter. With most of the drinking establishments closed down because they don't serve food or only open to fewer numbers of patrons if they do. St. Paddy's day will be a big let down for the folks wishing to party drinking green beer. Not that I ever get out to enjoy the festivities of the day. Not really my holiday. I'm not much of a beer drinker, green or otherwise. I have been known to enjoy a Rubin on occasion. There are a number of Irish Pubs in town, in the past they have been packed to the rafters with people. Last year, well we all know what happened last year, and the pubs were dark. Most look to be dark once again this year.

I think life after the bug will be very different. I picture people emerging from their homes not knowing how to act or converse with one another in public without a phone or computer in front of them to do so as they use to. Standing closer together, or with out a mask on will take some adjustment. Like timid Deer venturing out of the woods to graze on the lush clover in the open fields, They'll be ever alert, looking about and being unable to enjoy themselves or the bounty and fun before them. All the while looking to the safety of the wood, ready to bolt if spooked. Well, it's with good reason we all have become that way. When something you touch or the very air you breathe can land you in hospital, or worse.

We, will learn again I'm sure. But, like I said it will take some time to get back to where we once were. But get there we will..one step at a time.

Off to shower now.....

I have heard of people making appointments that require traveling for hours to get the vaccine. I was lucky enough to get through locally and will be getting my 2nd shot on Tuesday so I won't complain. Happy Valentine's Day!

Elevate me...

Supply and demand. News of a teacher from my area going down to Pittsburgh to get her shot, had an appointment and was turned away because they had run out of the vaccine. Ah well, have a good one Chick!

I'm the timid deer. I have learned to keep my hands in my pockets or laced together in front of me. I keep a distance.

I think we are all going to be a bit timid for the foreseeable future. Have a good one pony.
