 Yes, I treated myself this morning after I finished work. I bought a lemon poppy seed muffin for breakfast today. It tasted great with my morning cup of coffee as I finished the crossword puzzles in the paper. It's my little ritual I suppose? Eating something that really isn't good for me as I let my body take time off and exercise my mind.

I don't really get to relax that often. I work every day of the week, if I didn't this place would slide the slippery slope to hell in a hand cart. Believe me, I've seen it happen. Off on vacation and the crap hits the fan, literally. Oh, I'm not indispensable mind you. Any monkey with the sense God gave a turnip could do my job. The thing is most monkey's have better sense, and get easier jobs to survive this little thing called life.

So, for me it's times like today and getting that muffin that make things worth while. Little things like that that make me happy. Like having one of the local dogs come up to me while I'm out cleaning up the grounds..wagging it's tail happy to see me outside as the owners takes if for a walk. Seeing my grand daughters smile..just because. Answering my Grandson's questions, and seeing the look of amazement on his face as I say that yes I was alive in the seventies. To him that seems like eons ago. Funny but it seems like only yesterday to me.

Yeah, I'll have my lemon poppy seed muffins from time to time, indulge myself. Hey, we all can use a bit of happiness once and a while...
