Well, it's Fathers Day weekend. I doubt that my own off spring will remember, or send well wishes for the day. My oldest thinks all holidays are bogus. This from a guy who got so excited one Christmas by a personal visit from Santa promptly threw up. The middle son will do the Happy Dad's day hello on face book I'm sure..if he remembers that is. The daughter works weekends, and will not be stopping by that I''m sure. None of this really matters to me...I know they love and respect me. A card or a silly gift isn't needed. Nor wanted. I don't wear ties unless I'm visiting a funeral home, and have the required number needed for such events ( Two ). I have enough aftershave and things of such nature, I don't need any more. I prefer to buy my own books and movies..yeah I know they may like the author, or the films but I might not care for either. So, save your monies..Dad has all that he needs and if I really need something I'll clue you in. No, I prefer they just think about me once and a while, call if they need help with something or just need to talk to get my take on how to do something. That is after all what a Dad does, right? Being there when needed for his family.

So, Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there....

I hope you have a great Father's Day despite maybe not hearing from your kids. They do remember ho to call when they need help and that kind of says something
