The trouble with having a day off is having to go back in to work the next day. Getting confused that it's a day later than you think it is or what your mind is telling you because you missed the previous day. No matter, at least for me as I know all the work that was supposed to be done on my day off will be waiting for me to do when I get in today. It kind of makes having a day off rather pointless when you think about it.

Having just started in the apartment of many colors last Friday, that's where I'll be going today. Seems the contract painter thought it be a good idea to come in while I was trying to pre clean the place and start priming the walls with the paint sprayer. Choking on paint fumes I was confined to the kitchen the entire time. ( only place that won't need primed before it's painted )

Now along with the muck that was in the place to begin with I'll be dealing with paint over spray every where as well. I may get the unit done today? Depending on how much over spray I have to scrap off the windows when I clean them. Ditto for the fixtures in the bathroom. The rug already a total loss now, has a fine coat of mist on it as well. Like I said a total loss already that will need pulled up and disposed of. Knowing that the vacating tenants had pets.. I'm sure the carpet padding is shot too. You know sometimes I think it would be easier if I just did all the work in those units myself. Not like I haven't done all the jobs needing done at one time or another any who. Painting, electrical, pulling carpets, cleaning, and pulling shower surrounds for replacement. About the only thing I don't do is plumbing work. Though doing that isn't rocket science and I could probably do that as well. ( don't tell my boss I said that )

Oh well no sense in complaining about it, the work needs done. Yes, there is nothing like having a day off to let you know there's always something that you should have been doing while you were away.

I'm off to shower now....

Well, it wasn't bad. But I still would have liked to have stayed home another day. Have a good one Queen!

I know the feeling. I'm on call for work so it technically wasn't a 3 day weekend, but I still don't want to go

Wasn't for me either Archi. I work seven days a week, only get holidays off, even then I have to go in to do stuff if asked. ( like shoveling snow etc. ) Have a good one!

Plumbing as You say," Though doing that isn't rocket science and I could probably do that as well ! " Definitely Not one myself but have managed to replace 2 Toilets and re-plumb under a kitchen sink to install a disposal ! Kitchen did not initially have one ! 🤠

Oh I've done the work myself, changing toilets out, repairing sinks etc. Not my favorite type of work though. Gets a bit messy at times. Have a good one cowboy.
