It usually only happens when I do a townhome unit. The tenant moves out and has the electricity turned off in their name rather than transferring it back into the complexes name. Needless to say trying to clean something, anything in the dark is about as much fun as getting your prostrate checked by a doc with huge fingers, one who doesn't believe in using lube.

Oh the job can be and does get done but it takes longer and it's a lot harder than it should be. I won't even get started on the mold issue that's inevitable whilst cleaning the fridge. Suffice to say the odors emanating when you open the door is enough to trigger my gag reflex. I've yet gone down to the basement, no lights small windows couldn't see but I'm sure that with two dogs and a couple of cats living there prior that the place will need to be hosed down after a good scrubbing with bleach.

I had assumed that because of the people living there ( two women), that the place would have been left in better shape cleaning wise. But no. I guess nether one of the couple was the Sally homemaker type.

So, I still have the basement to finish, as well as the second floor of the place. If the lights don't get switched back on today at least with all the windows on the second floor I won't be in the dark.

I'm off to shower now....

Just an Observation ; but it does appear that some of Today's Younger Generation have NO Clue or been Taught how too clean house 🙁 Could not hold my tongue with my brothers live-in gal and said something about , Floor could use a vacuuming !!! Her response was , " My mother never taught me how too use a vacuum or clean house . " 😡🤠

I think it's a case of the apple not falling far from the tree. Most haven't learned because they never saw it at home being done. Sad. Have a good one Cowboy.

Oh I have guilt. I remember calling the power company to switch our account from one address to another. I have no idea if I told them to put it back in the landlords name. I don't even remember them asking who would be responsible after me.

As I said, we usually only have the problem when it one of the townhomes. The apartments get switched automatically but for some reason with the townhomes the power company always screws it up. Oh well the power was back on when I went over to finish the place yesterday. Given the fact that I was working in the dark ( something I'd much rather do with a lover ) I did a pretty good job at it...I figured I'd have to redo the oven having missed some, but no. The oven looked great. I guess I'm better then I thought I was in the dark. Have a good one Pony!
