 We got about four inches out there now, and the snow is still falling. I was out for two hours shoveling the place out.

No blog this am as you probably know. I woke up late, it happens. Would have been nice if like BiSussi had suspected I was late rising today because I had a playmate over. No such luck. It was just one of those mornings where I felt sung as a bug in a rug under the covers and hit the snooze alarm thinking it would give me five minutes more of sleep. Guess I missed the second alarm and final woke up with a half hour to get dressed and ready for work.

I'm going to take a bit longer for lunch today just to see if I can warm up some. Hopefully this afternoons work won't be so taxing and I can cost for the rest of the day. My back is already complaining that I did too much.

Going to finish eating my lunch now....

 Bet it wasn't -35 with wind and snow. That's what greeted me each morning for past two weeks.

No Patch, it indeed wasn't the case. Though what you describe sounds like the usual winters we get around here. The snow and cold start sometime after Halloween and doesn't let up till March most winters ) As I mention to Author, this years winter has been rather mild for us so far. Though I expect now the Old man winter has really arrived he'll be sticking around and making my life harder. Have a good one, and stay warm!

 So damn cold out that my wood deck kept cracking all night, drove the dogs crazy.

Most of the decks here, are old...and have long ago adjusted to the temp. changes. We are getting some done ( rebuilt ) at the moment though. I pity the construction workers having to be out in this crap when I see them out there working. I do hope your deck has settled down and the dogs as well. Have a good one.

 Even way down here in Oklahoma it's been a bit chilly lately. It was 11 degrees this morning when I left to go to work just before 6am. Yesterday our high was in the 20s. But we don't have snow! At least not right now.

 Only four inches! [sigh]

I woke up to 20"+ yesterday. Plowed my driveway and the lady across the street's with the John Deere, then the sidewalk in front of the Grange hall with the quad (which was the reason I bought the blade for the quad in the 1st place), then a quick bite before I began shoveling off the roof.

Finished shoveling the roof today even though the predicted rain is off the forecast. Frankly, I'm pooped. I think this will be a good night for a movie and a drink.

What you describe is a normal winter around here. Every year we have a friendly competition with Buffalo NY, to see who get's the most snow fall, two years ago we beat them. Setting records held for years. This year? We're not even in the running. Have a good one.
