happy pills..................................

happy pills.................................. Ok, been off work all day. Major tooth ache. Just got back from going to the dentist and Giant Eagle, hence the title of this blog. The dentist was fun, seems the hygienist was bad last weekend. She wouldn't tell the Dr, what she did, but during their conversation she let it slip that the naughty thing she did while drunk involved her best girlfriend. Seems their husbands had taken a road trip to Vegas..you know the place where what you do stays there. Well whatever it was she did with her best friend was to be treated the same. Think she was egging the Dr. on a bit, being a tease. But I found their conversation quite interesting.  At any rate it took my mind off of what the dentist was doing. I can still hear the tooth crack as he pulled it, the molar was gone, one I had a root canal done on years ago, I'd lost the crown and never gotten it replaced. Guess I bit down on it too hard last friday while eating lunch, hit a nerve and then the infection set in. Bye-Bye tooth! I wasn't in pain at all, the Novocaine took good care of that while I was in the chair. I was also taking meds for the infection. Over the counter pain pills assumed that they had helped during the process? Anywho I left the office with the paid bill, pamphlets on what to do and not following an extraction, and a script for pain meds (if I needed them) I didn't think I would so I just came home afterwords..thats when the Novocaine started to wear off.  I had to go back to the store to get my script filled. WoooHoo! That was real fun, ever try to tell a pharmacy tech your info with a mouth full of gauze and in pain? Not a day at the beach I can tell you! Then I had to wait a half an hour for the script to be filled..well 20 minutes, the tech took pity on me as I was standing there holding an dibs ice cream box to my face to ease the swelling and cool the pain. Anywho, prescription filled I went home...oh I did stop at Micy D's to get a large cup of ice (had too the dibs were melting) James, took one look at me standing there and just went over to the ice chest and filled one of the large (mammoth) sweet tea cups with out even checking too see why I had come in. Guess the swelling gave me away, that and the closing crew last night having to cover for me cause I didn't go in to work because of the pain. Ok, Ice in hand I headed for home, now those pills are winding through my system Having downed one as soon as I got in the door. I ate the dibs. Had to as I said they were melting. The ice is chillin here next to me I use it as needed, funny thing though I don't feel so bad now..oh there is pain there, but very vary muted. Thank god for chemicals!  Tim
