As to "how it will end":

We are living a *teachable moment* in history, when it should be clear that all of humanity is inextricably interconnected and only we are all stronger and safer when we focus on ensuring that we all have the basics: food security, health care, education and housing.

My (cynical) view is that we will suffer our terrible losses, get through this only to shortly thereafter *forget* what we learned and return to our (apparently) natural state of complacency....while the next storm builds.

 True, unless you're willing to wear a hazmat on your vacation to Jamaica (direct flight from Ottawa), but then I don't know how you'd get a tan.

As for how will COVID-19 will end - this summer, there will be a slow return to our usual ways of working and socializing. However, that won't be because COVID-19 will end but because living in a bubble is economically unsustainable. (There've been flicks about this so I hope that governments use this time to conduct "movie research".) There will be several waves of COVID-19 in countries so that it won't be eradicated this year, but the warmer weather will have a dampening effect on the prevalence.

 Going to be a very changed world. People missing loved ones. Anger for those who show the littlest decency and kindness. Hopefully the status quo that politics relies on so much goes the wayside.
