But it's doable. I just gotta stop making pancakes 🥞 at midnight and I gotta go back to walking and exercising. 50 hit like a freight train. Ripped a muscle in my leg...surgery. Just get healed up. boom Hernia. Lucky I didnt need surgery for that, Covid...nothing to do but eat. back up to 220...treadmill, to loose weight got my run on...boom stangled my hernia and no surgery in site because of covid. Yeah my penis still works but I am not sure why

How disappointing to hear that wasn't 5# in each bewbie! I myself have added 7# of late - more than I changed in the previous 30 years. And it's not my gym being closed as I still go religiously 3X a week. NOPE it's being retired and boredom eating. But I recognized the problem and have dropped one pound this week. Don't be TOO hard on yourself - I'm betting MOST men still find you extremely attractive! What works for me is, having my first meal after 12 noon, to increase the amount of time spent in ketosis. That is when you burn fat, after your carb supply is depleted. I when from 220 to 185.

Turn 55 this January and it is tough to keep the weight down. Has to make some lifestyle changes to help.

You know hun I have to say I have been suffering from depression and I didn't realize it until this morning while I was waiting in line at the post office and heard two other ladies dealing and saying the same things. Its funny how this pandemic is making many of us feel the same way.. I hope you feel better, and you know walking is a great stress reliever, and music too. I hope you have a great evening..

Just a thought here. Set your goal higher like 20 lbs. Then, if you only make 10 it is still a win. If you lose 20, and not saying you need to, then its a win/win. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Numbers are a bit dangerous to assign too much meaning to, but you’ve also got a be happy with yourself, too, right? It’s a balancing act. I’m sure you’ll know your “sweet spot”, with making yourself crazy about it. And, yeah, don’t expect results to appear instantly. Habits change, then body reacts, then maybe more habits change, anon. That cup of “coffee” sounds like it’s got a fair bit of extra sugar. Maybe it’s OK (ish?) in normal times, but maybe not-so-much, now? Sugar, in various forms, seems to be just too much a part of our lives. And, not in a good way. The suggestion about narrowing the window in the day over which you eat might be on a good track, too. Hopefully you’re not boredom eating. If you were, I could suggest something to put in your mouth, just for the purpose of preventing that? Oh, right ... damn, that’s why we’re stuck in varying degrees of lockdown ... no random get-togethers ... sorry, right, forgot ... If you wanted to be naked and get lots of exercise, try stripping down to nothing on a random street in the middle of town, and then running away before the cops get there? Just make sure there are no stairs on your getaway route ... we don’t need you winding up at the bottom of them in a heap, again. Nice meme, BTW. Probably true, too. While the men focus on “naked”, I will do my best to address the issue at hand. Damn. I lost my train of thought already. Oh well, I’m sure it was pithy, polite and penetrating prose. In uncharacteristic seriousness , I have to give a sigh of relief that the 10 pound increase has occurred elsewhere too. After losing nearly 50 lbs, November turned into a crappy month for me on a workout level. Stress and other factors made me lose focus and backslide. Red’s theory should work but my pessimistic side is going Pffffft. So I’m going to be practical. Accept my winter weight and get off my ass and sweat to the Newies. Not a RS fan at all. Gaining just 10 is rare. I put on 15, and you're right, it sneaks up on you. Gym closed, park closed, country roads around here are not conducive to running or biking. You've got this though. Portion control, eliminating the Starbucks, limiting carbs...you'll be to where you want in no time!

Yes it's the Carbs. ive been hunting each morni have a bagel peanut butter and cream cheese in three weeks I gained 5lbs. I've been rock steady on my diet got myself down from 245+ to 215+- broke my heat to see the scale at 221+-

I found my new gained weight. I knew I gained. I let my dogs out this morning around 2:30 Stand it in the gazebo in just my short I see a blog and it m not my friend I side my shorts down just below my belly button And there it's is From one hip to another just big enough to be 5lbs Since I lost weight I know what I went look like. Back to eat twice a day and no donuts, cakes for me. Xoxoxoxoxo Thomas

LOL I never look at the scales. Weight is relative. It is more about how you feel about yourself and how you're carrying that weight. As we get older, a little weight is not a bad thing. But it does seem harder to get rid of. I jog 3 1/2 miles/day and eat well but I have gained back my small saddle bags. It comes from pop. But I have just bought raspberry syrup and will start drinking Constant Comment black or royal raspberry tea. VERY light on the sugar. If you ever need a pro massage, though it has been a couple of years since I retired from it, don't be shy to ask.
