Would aliens attack us?

Would aliens attack us? These aliens would need be advanced enough know that we exist and be in a position attack us they must be able get near us without being discovered. Naturally these alien must be rational and would need check us out first before they land Earth. Alien abductions are a risky matter as aliens intent on attacking us must act covertly until they understand the risk we pose them, so that would not be their first option. They might be so advanced that they could just appear amongst us without being seen, however, they being rational, would observe us first but how? I think they would use our electronic transmissions, radio and TV. They could probably learn our language using educational TV and I guess they would have no trouble decoding our TV channels so they could watch our<b> movies </font></b>and herein is their difficulty. How would they interpret what they see? Would they be like us and interpret what we see in the same way? It’s impossible say but it is at least reasonable that we would be as alien them as they would be us. What would they make of our movies, especially those alien<b> movies </font></b>where the human race, against all odds, win out in the end? Would they interpret them as fact or fiction? They may have no concept of fiction and if that is the case they will steer clear of us on the basis that we have never been beaten by any aliens.
