 lastmanoneaerth, ever have a look at a magnet? It knows what's North, it knows what's South, it doesn't change its mind because of what others say, it doesn't try to convince anyone. Approach it with brass and no one even notices. Approach it with steel and there's an attraction from every direction. Approach it with a magnet and there can be violent bonding or deep repulsion. But in all cases there's no trying to convince anyone by the magnet. To those who can make it out, they see a magnetism there. To those who aren't sensitive to that kind of magnetism there's not effect at all! The magnet doesn't get offended, or even feel snubbed, when there's no interaction. The magnet says to itself, guess that wasn't a good fit. Or maybe the magnet says to itself, gotta keep working on my magnetism and send out feelers that will draw in a compatible response. Someone will notice and be interested, don't chase after them, let them know who you are, let them want to explore you. Be the magnet and you'll both have worked to meet each other.
