Am I being too sensitive?? Good morning everyone who reads this. I don't post a lot but I do add my 2 cents worth at times, lol. Yesterday I came across a post by a gentleman(?) whose oneliner made reference women's bodies shapes. I didn't reply his post because I thought I was being judgemental. However since I am one of those ladies that life has blessed with a belly flap, I was a little angry at first along with hurt that someone would think an insulting post like that would put them in a good light. Body shaming is ridiculous!! No one has a perfect body and it's not just about looks. It's about the person. How do you feel about this? |

I think its okay to be prescriptive about what body types you arr more attracted to but theres no room for body shaming.

You have to ask yourself... how does someone get to be so sad and bitter? I feel pity for someone who is so undesirable to women that they spew hateful opinions (with bad grammar to boot!) in order to get any kind of attention.

You are not being too sensitive your just being human. Some people just lack the care and consideration required to avoid being harsh. Sometimes people are just ass holes. Best to be true to your self and seek out nice decent people.

When someone says stuff like that, it says more about themselves than anything else. Something he would say behind a computer screen but would never say to someone's face I bet. Drop in and visit my blog sometime, but you'll probably regret it

My two cents: 1) You can report him for abuse. 2) It may be down to his character or his tactics. I don't think he is worth any company if he behaves that way. And a bonu$ one that sums up me up: 3) No manners? No chance!

There should be no body shaming allowed ever. I tend to speak out now about how I feel about it. No one is perfect and most likely if youare, you r are either young, or you work at having in that perfect body to the point that you are obsessive of it. You are definitely not oversensitive. You are a worthy, deserving woman. Often are our own worst critics about our bodies. We definitely don't need the negativity or shaming from others. Wish all people thought with kindness and compassion first. I'm certain there are lots of people who love you for the great person you are. I do not think you are being too sensitive. I feel that some people feel they can say whatever and almost try to see if they can (should I say try to piss off others) The internet provides a certain amount of anonymity and they feel they can say what ever they want Now Bigglala made a comment that the blogger did not exactly look like God's gift to women either. I had a reply the other day that was very political and I am not wanting to get political here so I just deleted it There are others that will appreciate the various people on here

Of course there must be some attraction or connection and often, at first, it's physical appearance that we're attracted to. A good relationship must be deeper than what the eyes can see. Personally, I'm more impressed by emotional connection and depth of thought. But if I was to limit myself to physical appearance I'd never have such a fulfilling relationship. Your opinion shows you see deeper into a person, Don't let yourself become irritated by such a shallow minded comment because you'd never allow such a person in your life anyway.
