I can not read most<b> messages </font></b>so getting frustrated at me for not responding will not make me want to continue contact....just saying.....that is all for now

 I'm non paying member also. The only way I've been able to send any messages to people is from replying to their status or pictures that show up. It definitely makes it difficult.

 buying $10 worth of points pretty much will enable you to contact possible sex mates.......seems a low cost solution rather than joining full time.

 Thee are two way to communicate directly...
1) Create a private blog
2) and/or -> Respond to comments in your blog

There are two links below each commenting members photo on the left. How "Respond" is activated is unknown but I suspect it may be a setting on your blog setup.

Use the "Quote" link to respond directly to each commenting member. Your response is posted in the blog and the user gets a notification with your comment from the main blog page by following the "Where I'm Quoted" link at the top.

Try it! Click the link here on the left and say " Hi "
This usually brings the users back to your page . . .
