Thank you. The only thing a have difficulties with is the 2 dimensional pictures of the male anatomy. I don't think that is really what things look like down there!

My experience was similar, rising PSA and a normal sized, no lumps prostate. I went with radiation for treatment as I had had previous abdominal surgery and did not want to risk complications (scar tissue and the possibility of intestinal adhesions) or the longer sedation. I did high high dose brachytherapy (radiation pellets inserted into the prostate and then removed after a given time period, all under the same procedure.) That started killing the prostate, and external beam radiation finished it off. As I am on testosterone suppression for a while longer, the jury is still out as what the final sexual function will be, but with sufficient stimulation, I do have an erection, just not spontaneous or as hard. I will post next year, after five months past the suppression treatment is ended.

My monitoring will be frequent (6 months) PSA. Is that the same as your monitoring?
