Wow. . .What a Day!

Woke up real early this morning, which has become my norm the past few months or so, showered, shaved, turned this computer on and checked this site for traffic.

I wasn't disappointed; there was quite a bit of input here.. . . .

Tons of stuff on my mind these days; work, home life, my aquariums, the cars, my emotional stability (or lack of same). The complete list stretches out into infinity!

I've only been back here for about a day, and already things are happening quickly. Just amazes me sometimes.

There are numerous aches, pains, etc., going on with me that I haven't reported to the VA, perhaps because I sense my time here on earth is rapidly running out and I don't to do much to delay my exit.

Selfish, I know, and I do my best to suppress those forebodings, but they're always in the back of my mind, lurking in the dark shadows there.

Summer's long gone. The days when getting dressed is simply putting on shorts, polo shirt, sneakers, are rapidly departing. Pretty soon it will be time to break out the long pants, wash my heavy coat and hoodies, locate my gloves, find all my socks, and pull the window-mounted air conditioners into their winter storage.

In November, Bambi finally gets her knee replaced, meaning an extended recovery period, during which time I will be pretty much burdened with most, if not all, of the household chores and other responsibilities.

We've gotten assurances from the and her church of assistance, but I will believe that when I SEE it actually happening!

Cynical old man. . . . .

I am taking the second week of November off work so I can be here to support her during that critical time. Oh, boy!

Next Saturday I am FINALLY making the hour-long drive to Taunton for a day with my friend Doug. We've known each other a few months, but this will be our first face-to-face meeting.. I'm getting quite nervous.

Hello Joy, my beautiful friend and blogger extraordinaire! Nice chatting with you once more.

Life goes on.
