A change of scenery. A quest for simplicity.

The desire for a change had been building up for a while, like a slow ember that looks like it will never increase an intensity of any significance. But then, it set a neighboring thought on fire, and within a matter of weeks, my visa travel France was processed, and in a couple of days, I was seated on an Air France plane destined for Paris. My work is portable. I have around the world, that I have been eting with virtuy for the last 18 months. So, I reasoned, I could work from anywhere, and my thoughts were proven, after simply rescheduling my appointnt book for my new ti zone.

But in reality, this change of scenery was rey the final culmination for a life of simplicity. I had begun reducing my space, both materiy and physicy for a couple of years. Selling property, possessions, and doing my best only keep the things that mattered or that were true needs.

I arrived in the city of lights with only my portable technology, two pairs of pants (khakis & dark jeans), 1 black suit, two white dress shirts, 2 butn-down oxfords, three ties, two belts, and two pairs of shoes. My only indulgence was a couple of dozen boxer shorts of assorted colors and patterns. The kind intended evoke the notice... Wow, I love your boxers, can I gaze at them a while before I pull them off of you?

Of course, you can. Gaze as long as you want.

Simplicity. Charm. Directness. Gratefulness.
