My Book is Published: I should be happy but I am PISSED!

Yes, The Sinful Path to Heaven is online at most online retailers... both paperback and e-book. (Not totally listed yet, but it is available if you X-oogle it.)

I should be thrilled, but I am pissed. The pen name I used is Jessica Vaughn. All pretty and all... but just after I approved the cover, I googled the name to see if it was 'live' and online for sale yet.

What did I get? Another book by some chik by the same name. Also poetry. Also midwest. Also very blunt about things. But thankfully not sex. And she has a middle initial.

BUT IT'S NOT ME!!!

To top it all off... SHE WAS PUBLISHED BY THE SAME PUBLISHER!!!

I had searched the library of congress when I chose the pen name. No listing. So, I thought I was safe.

Did I throw a fit? Hell yes! But, somewhere in red tape and too many cooks in the kitchen... the book got out. Under normal circumstances, I would be thrilled they could take an approval to publishing in less than five business days... but FUCK!

Should I be thrilled....? Or pissed? Do I let it fly and say fuck it? Let the title push the sale and not the pen name? Ugh!!! What do I do?

XOXOX

Refer my blog to your publisher and I will give you 10% of my millions.

Congrats by the way.

And did you hear? The number one celebrity in America just took on my fight. And you thought I was crazy.

This is not as uncommon as you might think...just roll with it, and take satisfaction in a)being published and b)a completed work.

Congrats!

Conrats on your new book getting published! Sorry about the copyright infringement( pen names aren't probably part of that, however). I hate lawyers, but you may need one. I'll check out your book. If you ever need a fishing guide in the Florida Keys, please check me out!
I love lips!{=}

Just another day in Paradise!

Congrats you should be proud to have it published. That's a difficult decision. I know how hard you worked to get this book published. Whatever decision you make has to be yours. Life is too short to worry about the little things. You've accomplished alot by being published and should be proud.

Thanks guys....

I am keeping it as is.

It takes long enough for the online vendors to list it as an item to sell as it is.

So far, it is listed on several websites... but only one comes up a search on Ooogle and with a picture of the cover.

Ugh.

The happiness with come. For now, I am just overwhelmed.

XOXOX

Yeah no one really remembers the names of authors i find unless you get famous, and if you get famous no one will remember the other person! So i wouldn't worry about it.

Well done on the publish!
