Spending some time in the land of winter - well, some way north of Red Dot, the nights are cold and crisp, the days are... cold and crisp and the land is... white.
I can just hear you - I don't like cold.
It isn't cold, really and truly. OK, so the thermometer may say minus 10C, but the reality is different. Dry cold is pleasant, as long as you are dressed. Nose seems to work much better too - all that humidity seems to cut the keenness of smell, or maybe it is just that in the mountains the air is so clean that the nose actually works.
I recommend it, time away from the crowds, the noise and the crap air of the metropolis.

Too busy, running too many projects and no time to play. I need to cut some stuff out somehow, but it isn't easy. You end up with people depending on you, so if you cut something out, they crash. Well, one might adopt a sink or swim approach, but that wouldn't really be fair, nor particularly smart: some have families and after all, it is their that will pay our pensions!
So a degree of self interest, though I suspect I am just whingeing, because I what I really want is a 48 h day, while the rest of the planet has a 24 h h day. I get to do my work and play every day.
Need a time machine perhaps. Anyone know a good make?

I was looking over my blog and I am not sure where the gremlins have come from, or maybe it is an unsteady hand , a badly placed laptop, but there are too many typos in my blogs. For me at any rate, I am a little anally retentive with respect to my own use of language. Everyone else is free to do as they wish with language, but typos are one thing I shouldn't do.
Perhaps I should employ a secretary to review what I jot down hurriedly, though where do I find someone who can figure out why we can, and indeed must, "Polish the Polish furniture"?

We are all different, not everyone is equally juicy and able to keep providing drink on demand. I recently had a wonderful experience on this front.
I had the pleasure of the company of a lovely and gorgeous woman. We talked, the chemistry was good and then I discovered to my delight that she was really exceptionally generous. She provided me with a lovely long drink, she never dried up and her well of juice just seemed inexhaustible. So nice that we went for a second round a few days later .

How to separate the wheat from the chaff. A lot of blogs and comments on this, with all sorts of crap experiences coming to light.
Some chaff is obvious, like the "Phisher girl", but for the rest of the denizens, what might actually work.
Profiles are always somewhat misleading, even those of the most honest citizens. Whey? Simply because it some we write ourselves and self-perception is never entirely correct. We can be over positive (how many men on FriendFinder-x have an average sized cock, how many women have modestly damp pussy  . We can often (perhaps surprisingly) be too reticent about our qualities too. So the balance of information in profiles doesn't work that well. A filter, but rather coarse.
There follows an exchange of e-mails. Well these are crafted, so do not reflect the reaction of a person. So again short of the mark.
My experience is that the IMC works better than profiles and e-mails and IMC with e-mail provides a great filter.
This may simply reflect what I am looking for. IMC at least tells me whether a conversation is sustainable. I do like to talk! It also gives an inkling as to whether our sense of humour matches in some way. This is also important - for me sex is quite a funny activity, a combination of the sublime, the ridiculous and the inherently messy. With a few e-mails thrown in for more sustained communication, this has been a great filter. So I like the IMC. I can see that it has its downside: put downs, rudeness and so on can be aggravating. Don't let them be, instead be positive, you have just learned something important about the person at the other end - don't bother with them and saved yourself the displeasure and hassle of a face to face meeting that you really want to escape from.

Wonderful, I am in contact with a great girl, blue eyes, blond, US citizen, living in Singapore for the last six months. A very juicy individual.

A friend has a deep seated fear of flying, to the extent that he has "pulled" at the gate and only once managed to board and then only due to the very low amount of blood in his alcohol.
And then I got an e-mail, he was on another continent - hmm, I thought, has he taken a boat? No, he took a plane.
Good for him, overcoming such deep fear is truly heroic.

There are a lot of sex tests around on the net. This is one I came up with quite a few years ago, in the course of an animated discussion about sexuality. I still find it amazing how narrow people's views on sexuality can be and have always put this down to a combination of cultural indoctrination and insecurity, but not in equal measures.
For my part all I can say is that some things just don't interest me - no arousal - but importantly, I have no value judgement regarding these activities. In fact the reverse, as I realise that I am more limited than some of my fellows.
So to the test, which is a gedanken experiment. The answers will be revealed once there is some input (but I am happy to reveal early via e-mail should anyone's curiosity be burning!).
You wake up tomorrow morning, same person, identical brain, BUT, you are of the opposite gender. So men, you are now physically 100% woman and women are 100 % men. Rather more pleasant than waking up as a large insect....
Who do you want to fuck?
Think carefully and picture the situation and then decide Is it:
1. Someone of the same gender as the one you have become.

This question raised its head following a breakdown in communication with a prospective LTR. She wanted a birthday present to her specs. My feeling was that since we were still at the discussion stage of a LTR and that surprises are the spice of birthdays, it would be more appropriate for me to spend time (that most precious of things) to find some sort of momento. Maybe because I have the habit of buying books the lady decided to stipulate where we should shop?
Understandable protest from the lady stating that she wasn't materialistic, but the episode made me wonder where is the border between a LTR with eventual sex and commerce?
Am I just too pig headed?
