We were getting a lot of inundation... We just now reconfirmed our intentional nonmonogamy... discussed the state of affairs on this site. Still and all ambivalent about this medium, should have been been easier... Had to tell a guy younger than our that he was not our age-range... Others have other deals breaker s to deal with But it's ultimately on us... And we're sailing away to North Carolina next Spring.... Finally "retiring." I admit I (Jerome) was ready to strike while hot. But tommorrow sneaks up.Leaving thing a little open, but 3 drinks later!

In the interest of being clear and up-front we've recently sorted out a plan on moving/buying a house near Asheville, North Carolina next Spring. Just so we're a bit concerned about our developing intimate bonds (that's our nature/intent) with someone here in local, Coastal Central California.
We were never interested in a "Lifestyle scene" style of connection, anyway... rather seeking growing a kind of stone by fitted stone, long term companionship. We're Just putting this out, all considered, @ 'going the distance.' We've already committed ourselves to this moving plan, and have worked hard to make it happen for us in our retirement.
It doesn't mean that it's a red-light situation... just a kind of quandary that may be a stumbling point for some concerned.

Stable, all-around, emotionally deep, companionate relationships with other(s)... seems like too many bars of expectation to place on any mere mortal. I note many here aren't here seeking more an in-out, sexual ride. A multiple, committed relationship is more like a tribal family.
Life and relationships have taught me that none of us really have it all ‘figured out,’ regardless of journeys far and wide, moments of transcendent awareness nor being ripe with intriguing tales of experience. Maybe it’s wisdom. Or more likely the experience of going through a series of life’s tempests and being carried far away from any concocted plan. I shake my head at the smug people who think they have it all figured out. I've progressed. Perhaps less prone to how it made me anxious and nervous when I pretended to be confident, like I knew what I was doing. Maybe better now at inviting the shadow puppets in for foreplay.
There is nothing more attractive than authentic confidence, and to realize that we cannot control everything. I guess I could never quite catch on quickly to other's own hidden demons. That’s something that takes time to soften up and forgive ourselves (nope, we’re not perfect and it’s okay) and forgive others for not being the projections we once aspired them to be. I do though prefer to befriend people that are just being who they are, are open with their flaws, fantasies, their heart' desires, their muddles and who slow down enough to walk by my side. Being who we are, it’s a journey, man... that's a viable relationship. But we may well have different ideas of the relationship(s) we seek.

Going tomorrow to spend the night and maybe catch some music and whatever. Reconfirming a bunch of love and all after a long while of almost separately lived lives... Pam's Labor/Delivery, RN night-shift is a tough row to hoe. and things get sketchy amd wiggly after a while. So it matters, and is in context with our presence here. This is just for us, but also aspecting a reconciling our strange desires for returning to consensual non monogamy... Book report later.

We've been through some needful reassessments/a bit of evaluating things (we went flat for a bit), and so laid low for a bit before re-upping our membership, needing to reapproach things from a better place. Nobody needed to deal with us being in a shaky place. Just we hit a low spot for a bit, and opening up to other(s) at such a point... well, that would be nuts!
Ready to try again... slowly, with excellence and good energy. Heading to beach for an overnight and warming our relationship up in a few days.. be nice meeting someone who's got nice vibes and can be comfortable fit. Too short of notice though. S'why we need time meeting and getting to know you.
