And i remain invisible to all
A spectre in the midst of many
How I long to converse,

But my ghostly form goes unnoticed
Decades and centuries pass
Yet I remain trapped in this limbo
Wishing for that one to notice

The bells strike twelve
All around are joyous celebrations
But my existence brings no happiness
My joy died eons ago
A ghost amid life
And a New Year begins

The snow like a silent blanket falls
Covering the quiet town
I walk alone

I see the warm lights of the houses
Knowing that families have escaped the wind
The ice
The winters grip of cold
No frozen wasteland assails them

My rage matches the storm without
For I have no one to warm me inside
My heart is a frozen entity
No joy and no hope
Aging and yet not dying
