Here is a bit of the backstory. I recently reconnected with some old friends I grew up with and after discussing the topics on the surface such as careers, aging parents, spouses, and so on...we eventually got right down to the real life stories. We got into the crap people do not post on facebook..

Here it is! Many of us have had affairs for various reasons. Keep in mind this discussion involved a mix of men and women, not just men. Most have had 2 or more affairs, Some have had significantly more affairs over the past to 20 years. Considering my history, I mostly listened to my friends share their experiences until someone called me out for not offering any of my dirt. (It's always the quiet ones, right?)

Finally someone asked me....So!! How many affairs have you had??

Between just you and me, my history is a bit extensive. I have had my share of affairs. I was a cub before the cub/cougar thing a thing in my early 20's into my 30's, I have been the other man, and I have had my share of girlfriends on the side. Point being, I did not care to disclose the fact that I cannot put a number on my past partners and I definitely do not remember names. I remember the first few and the last few partners I with but I have no clue about how many are in total.
I did not feel comfortable disclosing the extent of my secret double life.

I came across someone's blog about a relationship dilemma they wanted opinions on. One of the responders took a political jab at them. A political jab in a relationship blog?? What does one have to do with the other??
Yes I admit, I took a shot back at the commenter.

Why did they bring politics into a non political discussion?
Pft...God knows!

In my honest opinion, this is an escape for most of us. We are all here to either discuss sex, discuss relationships, have sex, or whatever floats out boats.

Am I wrong???
