A Special Thought For My Homies In The Snow

I hope my fellow Brits are keeping warm in the snow storms sweeping the UK at the mo.... My dad just suffered two broken bones in his foot after god knows what he was upto on Friday (if it's not one thing its something else with him poor guy - read my earlier posts to know what I mean)... Also a family friend broke a rib on Friday taking my to his place to be with his after school broke early.
I was stuck on the plane at heathrow for an hour on the Tarmac after I landed from Dubai (and I had food poisoning at the same time (nice)
A thought for the guys who lost their lives in the avalanche in Scotland yesterday!
Tomorrow brings the start of the working week the tube trains and the trains will go into meltdown - the operators incompetence never ceases to amaze me. You tell them in advance that it's going to be bad weather and it still catches them out... I wish they were so slow in raising the fares!

I discovered VPN Express in the apple App Store and it has made my life so much easier, installed on my iPhone and iPad and here I am typing away. Websites like FriendFinder-x and other dating sites are commonly blocked but this nifty app has helped get over it and its very to use too... Well done them!!!!

Hey People
OK! Here i am in the warmth of Dubai. I got hit on by one of my new colleagues which was nice and was told that she would love to recommend a few places to go and see... and show me around
Well... met the new boss and he said that as i am in London and he in Dubai i should go out to Dubai more often over the next few months so probably a 2 weeks in London and 2 weeks in Dubai scenario before a potential full time move. (I will only agree to this perm move after I get through my probationary period and i am secure in my role - dont wanna get canned within weeks of moving over)
So thats me at the mo... hope your all well
BTW Isnt Burj Khalifa impressive... and arnt the arab women hot

Well here we are at the end of another year. I hope 2012 has been a good year for you, it has had it's ups and downs for me but an exciting 2013 is around the corner.
I hope I get to make new friends on here and get to know the friends I have here better... And have more fun off here too.

That my father is out of hospital, thankfully it wasn't a stroke. But investigations are ongoing. Thanks for the kind words and support, I will thank those individually personally! X

What a Christmas its been... about to tuck in with the laws for lunch and that dreaded phone call from my mother that my father has collapsed and is in an ambulance being rushed to hospital.
I lose my appetite in an instant.... I live 2 hrs from my folks so... bags packed and in a car... zooming up the M1/M6 (two of the main routes in the UK) and in hospital for 6pm... mother in tears... father - suspected stroke - fcuk.
I walk into the cubicle and there he is... bloodied and bruised around his face after his fall. first thing he does is smile and extend his hand to shake mine. happy days... cant be a stroke is he is that compus mentus.
My dad suffers from Alzheimers.. its a recent diagnosis. he is easily confused and cannot communicate everything he wants which he finds very frustrating. in his eyes i still the man who was a role model for me - the passion in his eyes are undimmed.
Today, he was agitated when a lot of people came to visit him. We have a large close knit family.... i think the other guys in the ward felt outnumbered even with their loved ones at their side. well it didnt do him any favours he didnt react too well to having so many people around. when it just me him and my mum he relaxed.
I hope to have him home in the next day or two. My regret/concern is that as with many asian families parents especially elderly rarely if ever are left alone. i have a brother in the town but usually parents have one in the house. usually the eldest or the youngest and with me being the youngest i feel that i should be here. Feeling guilty that i left to pursue my career in the big city... now do i pack in my career and move back up north - folks wont move down south.
A feeling of guilt which grows and grows... BUT i have two other siblings who lets say havent met eye to eye with their folks last few years and havent lifted much of a finger.
sod them... me and my other brother will be there.
im tired... not thinking straight. i had to get this off my chest. sorry if it doesnt fit into the general theme of this site.
