New here and learning how this site works...

I think people can post on here without using any points or so someone told me in a chatroom. Does anyone else have advice on how to make this site work better. Not sure I want to use a credit card on this site, prefer to protect my information.

 Yes, that is our understanding as well, that standard members can comment on a blog post, and we believe can also enter the chatrooms, without the need for points. Unfortunately, standard membership is fairly limiting.

With that said, we wish you much success in your journey!!

 A good idea about not using a credit card, I was a paying member at one time, took a act of congress to stop the automatic payment deal. You can set up a blog that you have to approve the replies to before others can see them like a private blog. Welcome to blog land. Have fun

 Yeah, this site is very restrictive to Standard Members. I've been with FriendFinder-x for over 20 years and have seen such big changes...and not for the better. But, still I am here...as a standard member.
They used to offer a Silver Membership, which would allow you to see and read profiles, send messages to folks, and actually find someone on here. They got rid of that years ago. It was the best for meeting folks. Now, with Gold, you get all that crap I don't need to pay for.
These blogs are the only way to communicate with other members, and its still no charge. Oh crap, now that I typed that...their going to take This away from us too!!! lol

 You're welcome for the info, at least as best as we understand it. There are always anomalies on here and patterns that we cannot quite figure out. Sometimes standard members can reply to our messages, and sometimes they cannot.

Like you said frustrating ... just like sex life during COVID.
